Editorial Policy and How We Create Content
Template, not a finished page. The site owner must fill every bracketed field with true facts and have policy pages reviewed before launch. This page is excluded from search engines and the sitemap until then.
This is a template. The operator must confirm that each point matches how the site is really run before it is published, and must delete any point that is not true.
Our commitments
- Purpose. We write to help readers keep a small home clean in the time they have.
- Sources. Safety statements come from official sources (for example poison-center, public-health and environmental-agency pages), and we link them next to the claim. Product instructions come from the product label or manufacturer.
- Times. Times in our guides are time budgets (how long to spend), not measurements. [OWNER: if timing trials are run later, replace this with a description of the home, the method and the dates, and link the results.]
- Experience. We only describe experiences that a person on our team actually had.
- AI. [OWNER TO FILL: same statement as the About page.]
- Corrections. We correct errors, and we note the date and what changed. We do not change a date without a real update.
- Updates. [OWNER TO FILL: for example, "We review guides every six months and before seasonal peaks."]
- Independence. If we earn money from a link or an ad, we say so near it. At the time of writing this template: [OWNER TO CONFIRM: "we do not currently earn money from links or ads on this site."]
